Best sports betting apps in Alberta

11 of Alberta's 19 registered sportsbooks have an app on both the App Store and Google Play, and the table below links every one of them. Pick an app from this page and you know the operator is registered with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) and that you are downloading its own listing, not a copy.

The sportsbooks with a documented iPhone and Android app are bet365, theScore, Monopoly, Bally Bet, BetMGM, DraftKings, PureCasino, Tonybet, BetRivers, Sports Interaction and PlayAlberta. Open a review for the payout times, limits and support hours that sit behind each app.

What the store listings say

  • bet365: bet365 publishes both an iOS and an Android app for Alberta players, both under the same developer name.
  • theScore: theScore Bet has an iOS and an Android app from Score Media and Gaming Inc., and both store listings carry an Alberta line.
  • Monopoly: Monopoly Casino offers dedicated mobile apps for iOS and Android, published under Bally's Interactive.
  • Bally Bet: Bally Bet has an iOS and an Android app under Bally's Corporation, and both listings cover Alberta and Ontario.
  • BetMGM: BetMGM publishes both an iOS and an Android app for Alberta players, under two different developer names.
  • DraftKings: DraftKings has separate sportsbook and casino apps for iPhone and Android, and neither works in a mobile browser.
  • PureCasino: Pure Casino has an App Store listing and a Google Play listing, and its mobile page points both iPhone and Android users to the App Store.
  • Tonybet: Tonybet has iPhone and Android apps for Alberta, but their store scores rest on very few reviews.
  • BetVictor: BetVictor's iPhone app covers Ontario and Alberta; its Google Play listing reads as Ontario-only, so we don't treat it as an Alberta app.
  • BetRivers: BetRivers has one iOS app and one Android app for both products, and the Google Play listing now says Alberta is live.
  • Sports Interaction: Sports Interaction's one app serves Ontario and Alberta, and its store listings give the Alberta age as 18.
  • Caesars: Caesars has two iPhone apps that name Alberta; we could not confirm an Android app for the province.
  • Betway: We found no Alberta-scoped Betway app, only a Canada-wide Apple listing from a different developer.
  • FanDuel: FanDuel has iPhone and Android apps for Canada, but their store listings name only Ontario.
  • DAZN Bet: We found no DAZN Bet app for Alberta; the Apple listing we found is for Ontario.
  • PlayAlberta: PlayAlberta provides native mobile apps for iOS and Android, published directly by AGLC on Canadian app stores.

Alberta's regulated market launched on July 13, 2026. A sportsbook may take bets from Albertans only after it has completed AGLC registration and due diligence and signed a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation. Every private sportsbook in the table has done both. PlayAlberta, the province's own platform, is on the AGLC registry as an iGaming operator.

An app that is not on that list is not a legal option, however polished its store page looks. Check any name you are unsure about against the registered operators list, and read what unregistered sites put at risk before you hand one your money.

How to pick the right app for you

Download and location check

  1. Search the operator's name in the App Store or Google Play, or use the links in the table, and install it from there rather than from a third-party file.
  2. Allow location access when the app asks. Registered operators must confirm you are physically in Alberta before you can bet, and they keep checking while you play.
  3. Switch off any VPN, proxy or remote desktop tool first. Operators must detect and block these, so a VPN will stop your bet instead of getting around the rule.
  4. You must be 18 or older to bet on a registered Alberta site.

What you cannot bet on

Registered Alberta sportsbooks must leave certain markets off the board, including political events, minor league sports in Canada such as the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), and financial markets. If a market you expect is missing from an app, that is the rule at work, not a bug.

Alberta also restricts how operators advertise bonuses and credits, so we do not list offers on this page. Each sportsbook's own site is where its current terms live.
