Editorial verdict
Caesars gives Alberta adults a casino, live casino and sportsbook under one login, with a phone line and 24/7 live chat behind them. The catch: you must be 21, and Caesars names no Alberta-only payment methods.
Is Caesars legal in Alberta?
Yes. Caesars is run by American Wagering, Inc., which holds an AGLC "iGaming - Operator" registration. Caesars is also on AiGC's Registered iGaming Sites list. Pros
- Casino, live casino and sportsbook all run in Alberta under an AGLC iGaming operator registration that runs to July 13, 2027.

Cons
- You must be 21 or older to play, three years above Alberta's minimum age of 18.

Casino
Caesars Palace Online Casino has a live casino, jackpots, blackjack, keno, game shows and video poker, plus a row of games popular in Alberta.
The Alberta casino lobby is sorted by category: New This Week, Live Casino, Exclusives, Jackpots, Hidden Gems, Blackjack, Keno, Game Shows and Video Poker. Lower down are rows such as Hot Slots, Table Games, Millionaire Maker Eligible Games, a Caesars Palace Originals section and a Popular In Alberta row.
Caesars publishes no game count, studio list or return-to-player figures that we could read for Alberta. Its responsible-gaming page does print house-edge ranges, for example 2.7% on single-zero roulette, 5.3% on double-zero roulette and 1.4% on craps pass and don't pass. One set of Alberta Terms covers Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino and Horseshoe Online Casino.
Sportsbook
Caesars Sportsbook offers pre-game and live betting, with American, fractional or decimal odds.
The Alberta sportsbook page has All Sports, Live and Favourites tabs, a bet slip with Open Bets and Settled views, and an odds setting that switches between American, fractional and decimal formats. The pages we reached name no leagues, market counts or cash-out feature, so we don't list any.
House edge on sports bets
Caesars' responsible-gaming page puts the house advantage on a standard sports bet, risking $11 to win $10, at 4.5%. That works out to an expected loss of $4.50 for every $100 wagered.
Caesars Palace Online Casino / Caesars Sportsbook app
Caesars has two iPhone apps that name Alberta; we could not confirm an Android app for the province.
On the Canadian App Store, Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino are both free, from seller Computerized Bookmaking Systems, Inc., and need iOS 17.0 or later. Both descriptions name Alberta and carry the Alberta 21+ responsible-gaming line, and the casino app adds that app and game availability varies by province. Store scores are 4.48 from 1,360 ratings and 4.15 from 1,149, covering every province the apps serve.
Google Play lists Caesars Palace Online Casino from developer Caesars Digital, at 4.3 stars from about 9,880 reviews, 500,000+ downloads and adults only 18+. Its text names no province for play and cites Ontario's ConnexOntario, so we can't say it serves Alberta. We did not find a Google Play listing for the Caesars Sportsbook & Casino app.

Customer support
Caesars offers live chat, a web form and phone support to Alberta players.
Caesars' contact page says its support department is available seven days a week and recommends live chat for the quickest response. Its support page says live chat is open 24/7. The contact page lists +1 855 605 6850, and the Alberta Terms add +1 855-700-0123 for Caesars Sportsbook & Casino and +1 855-605-6945 for Horseshoe Online Casino.
If a problem isn't fixed
The Terms set out three steps: the web form, then escalation to a Customer Support Manager through a second form, then the Alberta iGaming Corporation at abigaming.ca. Caesars says AiGC will ask for a copy of your original dispute and Caesars' reply, and that AiGC has dedicated staff for player disputes.
Read Section 30 before you sign up. The Terms send disputes to binding individual arbitration seated in Calgary and waive your right to a trial by judge or jury. Section 30 requires you to finish the Section 28 complaint process, including any escalation to AiGC, before you start arbitration; it also leaves out of arbitration any complaint that goes through AiGC's dispute process, and says nothing in the Terms limits your right to complain to AiGC.
- Live chat: Live chat on the Caesars support page (24/7)
- Phone: +1 855 605 6850 (Caesars Palace Online Casino); +1 855-700-0123 (Caesars Sportsbook & Casino) (Support department available 7 days a week)
- Web form: Caesars web form, also used to escalate a complaint to a Customer Support Manager
Account and verification
Caesars wants you 21 or older and in Alberta, with ID and a payment source that match your name.
To register you give your name, address, email, gender, date of birth and phone number. The name on your account must match your legal name and the name on any card or account you pay with, and you can hold only one account. Caesars may ask at any time for ID such as a passport, a photo of you holding it and proof of address.
Caesars uses LexisNexis and your mobile carrier's data for identity checks. If the automated check fails, a second review runs through GeoComply, which may use IDVerse or Incode. The Terms warn that these verifications can affect your credit report.
Location checks
You must be physically in Alberta whenever you play. Caesars checks your IP address and WiFi signal on a computer, and carrier cell tower and WiFi signal on a phone. If it can't confirm where you are, it blocks you, and it can ask you to re-verify your age, identity or location at any time.
Funding and withdrawals
All money moves in Canadian dollars and deposits must come from a payment source in your own name. The Terms name a deposit account, a verified credit or debit card and a verified reloadable prepaid card, with no brands, and say minimum and maximum limits depend on your history and the funding method. A cap of $10,000 a day applies to funding and withdrawals combined.
Caesars' Payments help page lists Interac debit, Visa and Mastercard debit, Visa and Mastercard credit (Canada and Puerto Rico) and Interac e-Transfer, with e-Transfer deposits of $5 to $25,000 and withdrawals of $1 to $25,000 per transaction. The page covers US states and Canada together, so we can't say which methods apply in Alberta.
You can ask to withdraw at any time once your payments have arrived. Caesars pays as soon as practicable, with up to 72 hours of internal processing, and a security review can add delay. If you funded by card, it may refuse a withdrawal request within 14 days of the funding date and may pay back to the original method.
- Identity verification: You must be 21 or older. Caesars checks your age and identity when you register and may ask at any time for ID, a photo of you holding it and proof of address. (Caesars Palace Online Casino (external site))
- Location verification: You must be physically in Alberta, and Caesars checks your location by IP address and WiFi signal on a computer or by carrier cell tower and WiFi signal on a phone; if it cannot confirm where you are, you cannot play. (Caesars Palace Online Casino (external site))
Responsible-gambling tools
Caesars lists six player controls, from deposit and spend limits to cool-off breaks, and links to AGLC's province-wide self-exclusion.
Limits and breaks
Caesars lists deposit limits, spend limits, a single-wager limit, a betting loss limit and a daily time limit. Deposit, spend and loss limits run daily, weekly or monthly, and the time limit caps the time you spend logged in each day. The responsible-gaming page lists cool-off breaks of 1, 7, 30, 60 or 90 days, while Section 22.2 of the Terms gives a minimum time-out period of 72 hours.
You can lower a limit with immediate effect. Raising one means a waiting period under Alberta rules, and the page doesn't say how long it lasts.
Self-exclusion
Caesars' own self-exclusion runs six months, one year, five years or permanently, covers all Caesars platforms and logs you out at once. It also points to AGLC's centralized program, which covers every registered iGaming platform in Alberta through a single sign-up.
After a Caesars exclusion, reinstatement needs a letter to Caesars, and a request is considered no sooner than 30 days after the completed form arrives.
